Reutech

Designed specifically for the challenges encountered in underground mining operations, the in-ground profiler (SSP) facilitates dynamic decision-making in situations where there is a danger of gallery roof collapse and ensures optimum use of rock support mechanisms in these environments where every second counts. The lightweight and patented ergonomic design can be operated by one person with one hand. Collected data is transmitted wirelessly and processed in real time, giving immediate feedback on rock structures during scanning. Smoke: Smoke Productivity The versatility of the SSP allows its use in confined spaces but also in large tunnels. The movement of the sensor when in use is similar to the movement of a paint roller and has independent suspension, which allows the user maximum contact with the surface. The user can quickly and accurately detect structures within the rock mass. The system provides depth of penetration and high resolution by scanning in the 300 MHz to 1 GHz bandwidth. Real-time data analysis Data is transmitted from the radar sensor to the tablet in real time and can be analysed directly after a scan is completed. Underground, the radar sensor communicates with the tablet via Wi-Fi, eliminating the tripping hazard of cables. Users can make decisions on the fly to optimise support and security. Intuitive software The Sub Surface Profiler software runs as a standalone application. It provides a simple interface where the data is displayed in two-dimensional (2D) and provides the necessary filters for the user to identify and magnify features. The Reutech Digital Compass (RDC) is a digital compass that provides users with the opportunity to easily map geological structures. The RDC is easily maps the direction of inclination and declination at the push of a button in any direction or angle without having to align the device. Data is easily transferred from the device to the PC application via Bluetooth. The Slope Vision system comprising of a high-definition camera system and advanced software enables the user to command the camera to specific georeferenced coordinates or points of interest. While performing real-time monitoring, utilising the Movement and Surveying Radar (MSR), Slope Vision provides the user with a high-definition PTZ camera system to monitor all operation in the field of view. Once the MSR detects instability the Slope Vision can be task to investigate a specific point for any period of time without affecting the operation of the radar. Slope Vision is an essential situational awareness tool that will provide value in the geotechnical environment. The BMS has a 360° capability that continuously monitors the berm height and position in a dynamic environment where these characteristics change constantly as the waste dump advances.  Safety berms forms part of the critical control measures to ensure that haul trucks do not reverse over the berm. Non-compliant berms are identified and an alarm will be raised through the software application to ensure the berm is restored to the required height. The BMS is a trailer mounted or fixed installation system with a battery bank that ensures uninterrupted power supply and a mast that holds the laser. The trailer can be deployed level within 10°. Communication is done by means of an integrated on- board Wi-Fi systems to the control room or any other remote PC. The Human-Machine Interface (HMI) is a web based platform that is displayed on the on- board PC as well as any other remote PC. A georeferenced aerial image which displays the BMS coordinates is used in the HMI. Up to six systems can be displayed on the HMI, where each system can be assessed individually to view the health of the system as well as the scan data collected. The status of the berm being scanned will be displayed in green or red, dependent on height, position and criteria of the berm.
