The magnetic drum/separator is designed for automatic cleaning of mixtures containing larger amounts of iron and iron oxides, which are intended to be separated from the raw material/ore itself. For example, in a gold process, it is easy to separate clay and water from gold ore mixed with gangue minerals and water because of the large density difference. However, it is not so easy to separate iron with clay and water in the same equipment. To increase efficiency and speed up the ore cleaning process, MDR has developed a magnetic drum/separator. With such separation, large amounts of iron and iron oxide are eliminated before entering the concentrator. As a result, the yield of ore from the concentrator is much higher and further process of removing impurities from the ore is faster and more affordable. Also, in accordance with difficult working conditions, the entire magnetic drums are made of stainless steel and is additionally protected with polyurethane due to the high abrasion of the material. Being installed over the conveyor belt, the electromagnetic separator is the perfect solution for removing large ferromagnetic impurities more or less magnetic materials from the material (e.g., coal, stone or wood). The power of the electromagnetic field can be increased or decreased depending on the needs.
