They are ideal equipment for situations where pellet size distribution and easy controllability are critical. Disc angle, disc speed, water and material feed points can be controlled automatically. Flow diagrams, equipment dimensions and scalings are determined by laboratory and pilot scale tests. All plate bases are coated with ‘expanded metal’ and plate edges with polyethylene sheets to minimise abrasion. The base and scraper supports offer the best possible stability and the disc angle can be adjusted without any additional adjustment of the scrapers.
