It combines the advantages of decanter and separator. It ensures efficient separation of mixtures where both the decanter and the separator yield insufficient results. It has high clarification capacity and optimum separation ability with a centrifugal force of 5,000 to 10,000 g. It has a very high solid loading capacity like decanters and separation efficiency like separators. It is used for materials with a soft consistency that are too thin to be processed effectively in a decanter and cannot be drained easily.

It is suitable for processing soft products such as biomass, yeast suspensions, protein suspensions, fermentation broth. It is also possible to process mixtures containing a large proportion of solids. Its capacity can go up to 50 m3 /hour.
